It's never too late. We are so quick to use this cliché when it comes to other people's lives. We definitely believe that people should try new things - career changes, moving to a new city, making travel adventures a reality. But why are we so discouraging to ourselves when it comes to making changes in the way we parent, whether our child is 5 or 15?
Bottom line: Love and Logic can be started at any time. But the choice lies within each one of us. Change is hard work. Life is so much easier when we can continue in the way that feels comfortable simply because we don't feel like putting out the effort necessary.
One of my biggest motivators for change is knowing that I am modeling what life is all about every single day, good and bad days. My children are taking mental notes and mimicking my actions with each other and their friends. One of my recurring thoughts is wondering what kinds of things will come out of my children's mouths as I watch them parent their own children.
Can making even one change in your parenting approach make a difference? YES!
What is the one change you can start with today?
